Basically that means we find the Safety Radio Team from all the MSA licensed radio operators out there and ensure they arrive in the right place at the right time on the day. It involves a lot of forward thinking and sometimes we don't think as far ahead as we should, but we do try! Ray spent most of his working life driving Land Rover products through deserts, sand, fields, mud, ordinary roads and motorways. We would have liked an LR product ourselves but my feet don't reach the pedals of anything they make, so we settled on a Daihatsu 4 Trak. We take it anywhere we are sure it will come back from, hopefully intact! Our Daihatsu after a Yorkshire ditch decimated the back bumper. For Hillrally 2000 some 60+ radio operators had to be placed in the forests and hillsides around Builth before the first car arrived at each stage. I think we managed 99.9% success!
