Useful phrases on air

These are some accepted phrases and their meanings that are used on air to ensure uniformity and clarity.
Affirmative   - yes, I agree
Negative   - no, that's not right
Confirmed   - what you said is correct
Copied   - heard, understood and noted
All noted   - I wrote all that down!
Wait one   - used when you need to keep Control waiting for an answer. Don't forget to release the mike while you find the answer.
Also, see "Phrases you may hear Control Use" below.
Thanks for that   - thank you
Many thanks   - same again, really, or perhaps you are a little more grateful!
Over   - that's the end of my transmission, I'm shutting up, however, I am waiting for a further transmission from you, even if it is only "Control Clear"!! Use this at the end of every transmission so everyone knows the air is now clear.
Avoid the use of  out   ........ use "clear" or "standing by" instead -
"Stoke 3 clear." "Stoke 3 standing by"
These are some phrases and their meanings that you may hear Control use
Out to you   - I have finished talking to you and I intend calling someone else
Stoke 3, wait one   - I heard you, Stoke 3, but I can't attend to you for the minute, wait a little while till the air is clear and if I don't get back to you call in again.
All mobiles, only messages of safety, urgent or above   Control cannot deal with ordinary air traffic at the moment so only call in if you have a message of real safety (immediate danger of some sort) or an urgent message (reporting injury/suspected injury). This usually indicates there is a serious incident Control is dealing with so listen hard and keep the air clear unless you feel your transmission is essential.

ALWAYS CONTROL - YOUR CALLSIGN

never you first.
"Stoke 3 to Control"
Who is this Stoke 32?   I've looked on every list I have but there isn't a Stoke 32.   Is it someone on another rally?   Has another operator arrived at this rally?   Who is it?   Where are they?
Think of the confusion, think of the airtime lost,
someone could be waiting to call "Safety"
and all because the caller did not obey the first rule of calling in on a controlled network -
